President Murmu Urges AIIMS Rishikesh to Lead in Solving Local Health Issues

 President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday graced the 4th convocation ceremony of AIIMS Rishikesh, marking a significant moment in the institution’s journey of excellence in medical education and service.

In her address, President Murmu emphasized the pivotal role institutions like AIIMS Rishikesh play in addressing national, regional, and local medical challenges.

She commended the institution for its commitment to providing world-class education and healthcare services, underscoring the profound impact AIIMS has in making quality healthcare accessible and affordable across the nation.

Highlighting the increasing participation of women, with over 60 percent of students being female, President Murmu lauded this as a positive societal shift towards gender equality, echoing the broader trend of women’s empowerment across various sectors.

President Murmu also underscored the importance of leveraging technology, particularly in emerging fields such as CAR T-cell therapy and Stem Cell Research.
