President Murmu Witnesses ‘SRIJAN 2024’ Art Exhibition at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre

 President Droupadi Murmu graced the inauguration of an Art Exhibition at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on February 27. The exhibition showcased an impressive collection of paintings crafted by artists who participated in the esteemed Artist-in-Residency initiative, ‘SRIJAN 2024’, held at Rashtrapati Bhavan from February 21 to 27, 2024.

Comprising a diverse cohort of 13 artists, the ‘SRIJAN 2024′ residency program featured a blend of seasoned veterans and emerging talents. Renowned artists such as Vasudeo Kamath, Nihar Das, and Kavita Nayar lent their expertise, while budding creatives like Jayashree Jena, Manish Kumar Gond, and Pratap Badatya contributed fresh perspectives to the residency.

Throughout their residency period, the artists actively participated in a myriad of activities, including painting workshops and engaging panel discussions. Notably, the initiative fostered meaningful interactions between the artists and students from various prestigious schools and colleges across Delhi, enriching the creative discourse and nurturing artistic talent.

The culmination of their collective creativity was unveiled at the Art Exhibition witnessed by President Murmu, showcasing a captivating array of paintings that spanned diverse genres and styles. From evocative landscapes to abstract compositions, each artwork offered a glimpse into the artists’ unique visions and creative expressions.

Following the exhibition at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, these remarkable paintings will find a new home at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, where they will be open for public viewing.
