New Delhi, 26th August. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Janmashtami, celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. In his message, shared via a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes to all, marking the auspicious festival with reverence and joy.

In his post, Prime Minister Modi said, “Wishing everyone a very Happy Janmashtami. Jai Shri Krishna!”

Janmashtami is a widely celebrated festival across India, commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna, who is revered as the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. The festival holds great cultural and spiritual significance, with devotees observing fasts, offering prayers, and participating in events like ‘Dahi Handi’ to honor the divine occasion.
