Prime Minister Modi Lauds India’s Progress in Electronics Exports

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed immense joy over India’s remarkable progress in electronics exports, which have now reached a top 3 position globally. He attributed this achievement to the innovative spirit of India’s youth, known as Yuva Shakti, and reaffirmed India’s commitment to sustaining this momentum.

Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted in a post on X that India’s electronics exports have surpassed gems and jewellery to secure the third spot among the country’s top 10 exports by the end of the April-June quarter (Q1) of 2024-25 (FY25). This surge has been significantly driven by increased Apple iPhone exports from India.

In response to Vaishnaw’s post, Prime Minister Modi remarked, “This is indeed a matter of immense joy. India’s prowess in electronics is powered by our innovative Yuva Shakti. It is also a testament to our emphasis on reforms and boosting @makeinindia. India remains committed to continuing this momentum in the times to come.”

This milestone shows India’s growing capabilities in the global electronics market and the success of initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing and exports.
