Punjab Congress Crisis: 7 Congress leaders leave for Dehradun to meet Rawat

Dehradun, 25th Aug. Punjab’s politics has once again come to complications after Punjab cabinet minister Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa and some other leaders openly raised the demand for the dismissal of Captain. Political storm arose on Tuesday.

Now some MLAs of Punjab have moved to Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. State in-charge Harish Rawat is currently in Dehradun.

Four ministers of Punjab government, Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa, Sukh Sakaria and Charanjit Channi and three MLAs Kulveer Jeera, Barindrajit Paha and Surinder Dhiman have reached a hotel in Dehradun. A meeting is being held in this hotel and Harish Rawat has also reached the meeting.

Before going to the meeting, Harish Rawat told the media that the 2022 elections will be under the leadership of Captain Amarinder. Now we must wait to know what will be the solution after this meeting.

Harish Rawat said that when we brought changes in the Punjab Congress Committee, we had an idea about the possible issues that might come up later. Everyone has faith in Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. We will try to solve it.

Earlier, after Navjot Singh Sidhu became the President of Punjab Congress, it was believed that all the internal disputes of the party would be settled, but this was proved wrong. The spark between Captain Amarinder Singh and the Sidhu camp has further flared up.
