The Congress-led ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi, on Saturday made its way into Prime Minister Modi’s constituency, Varanasi, on the second day of its Uttar Pradesh journey.

Accompanied by the state president of the party, Ajay Rai, and other Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi rode atop an open jeep through the bustling Godauliya area of Varanasi. Additionally, Gandhi paid a visit to the revered Kashi Vishwanath temple.

The yatra garnered support from Pallavi Patel, leader of Apna Dal (Kamerawadi), and the Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Sirathu, who joined the procession in Varanasi.

Originating from Bihar and halting overnight in Chanduali, the yatra commenced its Uttar Pradesh leg and is scheduled to be joined by Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav in Rae Bareli.

This extensive journey, spanning from east to west, will cover 6,700 km across 15 states, aiming to advocate for ‘nyay’ (justice) while engaging with communities along the way.
