Rajasthan ACB Arrests an ED Officer in Jaipur

Jaipur, 2nd Nov. An officer from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) posted in Manipur’s Imphal, along with his associate, was arrested by Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday. They are accused of accepting a bribe of Rs 15 lakh.

The officer in question had allegedly demanded Rs 17 lakh in exchange for settling a chit fund case against the complainant.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Naval Kishore Meena, an Enforcement Officer of the ED in Imphal, and his local associate Babulal Meena.

The complainant reported that Naval Kishore Meena had demanded a bribe of Rs 17 lakh to resolve the case registered against him at the ED office in Imphal.

After verifying the complaint, the ACB team apprehended the two individuals for accepting a bribe of Rs 15 lakh.

Naval Kishore Meena resides in Vimalpura village of Bassi in Jaipur district, while his associate Babulal works as a Junior Assistant in the Sub Registrar Office of Mundawar in the newly formed Kotpulti-Behror district.
