Rajasthan Elections: Congress Releases Second List of 43 Candidates, Includes Gehlot’s Loyalists

Jaipur, 22nd Oct. Congress on Sunday released its second list of 43 candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections on November 25.

Among the candidates are former chief secretary Niranjan Arya, who will be contesting from the Sojat (SC) seat.

State ministers Govind Ram Meghwal and BD Kalla have also been fielded from the Khajuwala (Scheduled Caste) and Bikaner West seats, respectively.

Minister of State for Higher Education Rajendra Singh Yadav will be contesting from the Kotputli seat. These three ministers are known to be close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

The party has already announced 76 candidates for the Rajasthan polls, with the first list of 33 candidates released on Saturday.

The assembly elections will take place on November 25, and the results will be declared on December 3.
