Rajnath Singh Confident in PM Modi’s Leadership, Predicts BJP Sweep in Polls

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue to lead the government for a third and fourth term, serving as long as the people want him to.

He mentioned in an interview with ANI that Modi is raising India’s stature internationally and will continue to do so.

The BJP-led NDA is aiming for over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, with the BJP setting a target of 370 seats.

Rajnath Singh also predicted a strong performance for the BJP in Karnataka, as well as in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

He mentioned that the BJP is working towards forming a government in Tamil Nadu in the 2026 assembly elections. Singh expressed confidence in winning seats in South India, particularly in Karnataka.

Regarding political leaders joining the BJP, Singh stated that it is not wrong for anyone to join their party. He emphasized that the BJP works based on ideology and welcomes those who share their goals.

Several leaders from Congress have recently joined the BJP, including Ashok Chavan, Gourav Vallabh, Vijender Singh, and Naveen Jindal.

The Lok Sabha elections will take place in seven phases starting from April 19, with the results being announced on June 4.
