PM Modi Condoles Deaths in a Road Accident in Rampur

Rampur, 17th July. Six people were killed and 21 others were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a vehicle, according to police reports from Sunday.

According to Sansar Singh, an additional superintendent of police, the accident happened on Saturday night when a truck travelling from Moradabad collided with a bus coming from Shahjahanpur.

“The head-on collision took place at a bypass in the Civil Lines area of the district, in which six people died on the spot, while 21 others were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital,” he said.

He added that dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.

Shamimul Haq (35), a resident of Shahjahanpur, Naseem Khan (52) and Abdul Wahid (50), both residents of Saharanpur, and Sakshi (26), a resident of Shahjahanpur, have been identified as the deceased.

The identities of two of the deceased are yet unknown.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has offered his condolences for the loss of lives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief about the deaths in a road accident in Rampur.

He conveyed his condolences to the affected family. He informed that local administration, under the supervision of the state government, is providing all possible help.
