REC Signs MoU with NICSI for ICT and Digital Transformation

New Delhi, 14th Oct. The REC, formerly known as Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, is a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power. They have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.

This MoU aims to provide various Information & Communications Technology (ICT) and Digital Transformation Services.

The collaboration with NICSI will benefit the REC ecosystem by allowing them to explore the latest technologies in areas such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Blockchain, and Cyber Security.

The MoU was signed by Sh. Pankaj Gupta, Sr.GM & HoD (IT) of REC Limited, and Dr. Vinay Thakur, MD of NICSI in New Delhi.

Through this partnership, REC will be able to provide comprehensive support for NIC/NICSI Software products, including deployment, hosting, roll-out, technical support, security, services, and system administration.

REC Limited is an NBFC that focuses on Power Sector Financing and Development in India.

Established in 1969, REC Limited has been operating for over fifty years.

They provide financial assistance for various power sector projects, including Generation, Transmission, Distribution, and Renewable Energy. REC’s funding contributes to illuminating every fourth bulb in India.
