Samajwadi Party Releases List of Nine Candidates for MP Elections

Bhopal, 16th Oct. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has announced a list of nine candidates for the upcoming assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, which are scheduled to take place on November 17.

According to SP leader Yash Bhartiya, six candidates were already named on the list, and three new names have been added.

Among the candidates is former MLA Meera Deepak Yadav, who will be contesting from the Niwari assembly constituency.

The party, led by Akhilesh Yadav, plans to contest all 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh.

In addition to Niwari, candidates have been announced for Rajnagar, Bhander, Dhauhani, Chitrangi, Sirmaur, Bijawar, Katangi, and Sidhi assembly seats.

In the 2018 MP assembly elections, the SP won one seat in Bijawar, Chhatarpur district.

During the previous polls, when the Congress party failed to secure a majority despite being the largest party, two BSP MLAs, one SP legislator, and four Independents provided outside support to the then Kamal Nath-led government.
