Chennai, 14th Sept. Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi on Saturday emphasized the inclusivity of Sanatana Dharma, stating that Lord Ram serves as a spiritual and cultural unifying force across India.

Speaking at the Raj Bhavan during the release of the book “Sri Rama in Tamilagam: An Inseparable Bond” by authors D K Hari and D K Hema Hari, Ravi highlighted that Lord Ram is revered not just in northern India but throughout the country, including Tamil Nadu.

“Shri Ram, the most revered national icon of Bharat, lives in the hearts of the people of Tamil Nadu too. He is the glue that unites Bharat and shapes its culture and philosophy,” the Governor said, rejecting the narrative that Lord Ram is exclusive to the northern regions.

Ravi also criticized recent attacks on Sanatana Dharma, saying it promotes inclusivity, whether one believes in it or not. He underscored Lord Ram’s presence across India, from the North East to Kanyakumari, and noted that the concept of Rama Rajya had influenced India’s Constitution.

He concluded by expressing confidence that a self-reliant and fully developed India would be built on the ideals of Lord Ram.
