Sanjay Raut Should be Careful with his Words: Shrikant Shinde

GG News Bureau

Thane, 27th June. Shrikant Shinde, a Kalyan MP and the son of Shiv Sena rebel Eknath Shinde, asked party chief Sanjay Raut on Monday to control his tongue after the latter’s remark that the dissident MLAs camped in Guwahati were “bodies without souls” caused a stir.

Shrikant told reporters at the ‘Shakti Sthal’ memorial of late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe here that Raut should be careful with his words as he is also the father of someone and his family is watching what he says.

“This is not the culture of Maharashtra. The state is watching the manner in which he is passing comments. This happens when one realises that power is slipping out of hand,” Shrikant Shinde said.

When asked about the summons issued to Raut by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Shrikant said, “I came to know about this from you, best wishes to him.”

On Sunday, Raut had said, “We’ve learned a valuable lesson about who to trust….These are bodies whose souls have died. Their minds are dead….40 bodies will be brought from Assam and taken directly to the morgue for postmortem “.

The remarks are interpreted as a reference to the large number of MLAs who are camping with Eknath Shinde in Guwahati.
