New Delhi, 31st May. The Enforcement Directorate on Monday arrested Delhi Health and Home Minister Satyendar Jain in connection with a hawala transactions case involving a company based in Kolkata.

Following the arrest of Satyendar Jain, former Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas took a jibe at AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chadha.

Chintu became new recovery-head of Punjab

Terming Raghav Chadha as ‘Chintu’, Kumar Vishwas stated that he had sought an explanation from Satyendar Jain in the money laundering case when it first came to the fore. Then “Chintu”, the new recovery-head of Punjab, put the papers in front of me and said “Sir, I am CA, there is no wrong”.

Manish Sisodia Calls it Fake Case

Reacting to Jain’s arrest, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that a fake case has been going on against Satyendar Jain for 8 years. ED called several times in the past and stopped calling for many years in between as they did not get anything. Now it has started again as Jain is the election in-charge of Himachal.

Sisodia claimed that Satyendar Jain has been arrested in an eight-year-old “fake” case.

AAP’s Sanjay Singh terms the case ‘baseless’

Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh, at a press conference in Delhi, said that Satyendar Jain had been summoned seven times by the Enforcement Directorate earlier but he was never arrested.

Notably, Satyendar Jain will be produced in a special court on Tuesday in connection to a case linked to hawala transactions involving a company based in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party wants the Delhi Health Minister to be sacked, and welcomed the ED’s action against Satyendar Jain.

Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party chief Adesh Gupta on Monday said that his party had raised the issue of “corruption” by the AAP and its leaders in the past.
