Scindia Assumes Charge as Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region

New Delhi, 13th June. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on Wednesday assumed charge as the Union Minister for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER). The ceremony was attended by Dr. Majumdar, Minister of State in the Ministry of DoNER, along with senior officers of the ministry.

Upon taking charge, Minister Scindia met with senior officials to review ongoing schemes and initiatives under the ministry. His focus is expected to align with the government’s broader vision for the accelerated development of the North Eastern region.

Speaking to the media, Scindia emphasized the Prime Minister’s prioritization of the North Eastern region.

“The Prime Minister has always prioritized the North Eastern region, and we are committed to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision. It is our commitment to accelerate the development of this region and establish new benchmarks for modern development,” he stated.

This leadership transition is anticipated to bring renewed energy and direction to the Ministry of DoNER, reinforcing the government’s commitment to the rapid and sustainable development of the North Eastern states.
