She-Box Portal Launched to Make Workplaces safer for Women

New Delhi, 30th August. Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi has launched the new She-Box portal, a centralized platform designed to address and monitor complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace.

The launch event, held in New Delhi, also featured the debut of the Ministry’s newly developed website.

Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur and Secretary for Women and Child Development Anil Malik were among the dignitaries present.

The She-Box portal aims to streamline the complaint process for sexual harassment by serving as a central repository for information related to Internal Committees (ICs) and Local Committees (LCs) across both government and private sectors. The portal allows users to file complaints, track their status, and ensures timely processing. It also features a designated nodal officer for real-time complaint monitoring.

In alignment with India’s vision of “Viksit Bharat” by 2047, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s government is emphasizing women-led development as a key component of inclusive economic growth. The launch of the She-Box portal reflects this commitment, enhancing the mechanisms for addressing grievances under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The Ministry’s new website, also launched today, is designed to improve the government’s digital engagement and provide a cohesive visual identity across platforms. It aims to enhance the government’s interaction with both national and global audiences.

Annpurna Devi highlighted that the She-Box portal represents a major advancement in creating a secure and inclusive working environment for women. The portal ensures that complaints are managed confidentially and efficiently.

The She-Box portal and the Ministry’s new website are now accessible at She-Box Portal and Ministry of Women and Child Development, respectively.
