New Delhi, 4th Feb. The daughter of Congressman Mani Shankar Aiyar, Suranya Aiyar, has been the subject of a police complaint for allegedly making an “objectionable statement on social media.” Ajay Agrawal, a BJP leader and advocate for the Supreme Court, filed the complaint, claiming that Suranya Aiyar had made offensive comments on various social media platforms on January 20, 2024, and other dates.

In addition, he gave a link to the January 20 video clip. Ajay Agrawal filed a complaint with the Delhi Cyber Crime Police on Saturday, stating that “Ms. Suranya Aiyar has posted a seriously objectionable statement on Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms on January 20, 2024, and other dates.”

BJP leader Ajay Agrawal asked the Delhi Police crime branch to file a case in this regard and included a link to Suranya Aiyar’s video. The message read, “After watching the entire 36-minute video, please go through this entire clip and register an FIR under Section 153-A (for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) and other sections of IPC and also under other relevant sections of IPC and other acts as you deem appropriate.”

Suranya Aiyar was asked to vacate the Jangpura Extension of the Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) of Delhi on Wednesday after she denounced on social media the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The RWA published a notice that said, “It is highly unfortunate that a resident like you, Ms. Aiyar, would engage in hate speech and act by announcing a three-day fast in a peaceful community where the majority of the residents are from Pakistan after losing all of their wealth and fortune.”

“You have the right to appeal the court’s decision if you are dissatisfied with the consecration of Ram Mandir, which is a source of pride for all citizens. But once more, refrain from engaging in such actions that incite animosity and unrest in the colony,” it stated.

The notice continued, saying, “We would suggest you kindly move out to another colony, where people and RWA’s can turn a blind eye to such hatred, in case you still think what you have done in protesting against the consecration of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.”

On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the Vedic rites at the historic temple of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya under the direction of a group of priests.
