Survivors of Uttarakhand Tunnel Incident Airlifted to AIIMS-Rishikesh for Medical Examination

Uttarkashi, 29th Nov. The workers who were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel have been airlifted to AIIMS-Rishikesh for a thorough health check-up, Officials reported.

A total of forty-one workers were successfully rescued from the collapsed tunnel in Uttarkashi after a challenging 17-day operation, which concluded on Tuesday evening.

Following their evacuation, the workers were put under medical observation at a hospital in Chinyalisaur.
