Suvendu Adhikari Seeks PM Modi’s Intervention in the Matter of Vandalism of Idols at Durga Puja Pandal in Bangladesh

Kolkata, 14th Oct. On Durga Puja in Bangladesh, many puja pandals were attacked by fanatics. The politics of West Bengal has been heated due to the incident of vandalism with idols. After West Bengal’s ruling party TMC, now senior West Bengal BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi raising the issue of attack on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and urged PM to intervene.

A copy of the letter has also been sent to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and State Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Suvendu Adhikari has said in a letter to PM Narendra Modi, “I would like to draw your attention to the vandalism of idols in puja pandals during Durga Puja in Bangladesh. Radical forces have become accustomed to attacking the Sanatani community in Bangladesh. During Durga Puja, when the procession was going out, the extremist forces broke the Durga Puja pandals and idols.

Presently the condition of Sanatani people living in Bangladesh is very bad. Many Sanatani people who have been victims of attacks and suffering in Bangladesh, many of them have crossed the border and settled in West Bengal. They are continuously making a plea to stand with the suffering Sanatani people of Bangladesh. I urge you to take immediate and necessary steps in this regard, so that the Sanatani people living in Bangladesh can get relief.
