Telangana ASP Injured in Collision with Minister’s Convoy Vehicle During Duty

An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the convoy of a minister while on bandobust duty, according to police reports on Tuesday.

The incident occurred during Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to Bhadrachalam on Monday, where ASP Paritosh Pankaj was assigned bandobust duty. A car from the state minister’s convoy collided with Pankaj from behind, causing him to fall.

A video capturing the incident has circulated widely. Following the collision, Pankaj was promptly transported to a local hospital and later transferred to Hyderabad for further treatment, as confirmed by a senior police official. The official noted that Pankaj sustained minor injuries in the accident.

“He is doing fine. He had small fractures beside his left eye and underwent surgery. He is alright now. He is in the hospital in Hyderabad,” the official reassured.
