Hyderabad, 3rd Dec. The swearing-in ceremony for the Telangana Congress is expected to take place on either December 4 or 9, according to the Telangana police.
A Revanth Reddy, the state Congress chief, has asked for security arrangements for the ceremony. Reddy spoke with the Director General of Police (DGP), as well as other police officials, to discuss the preparations for the event. He also mentioned that his party would soon meet with the Governor to discuss government formation.
The ceremony is expected to be attended by several chief ministers, former chief ministers, and senior leaders from Delhi. The event will be held at LB stadium.
The Telangana Police chief has instructed that each winning candidate receive two Personal Security Officers (PSOs), with senior functionaries receiving a higher level of security.
The Security Wing has been asked to prepare a threat perception report for all elected candidates.
Anjani Kumar, the DGP, held a meeting with the Hyderabad Police Commissioner and other senior police officials to discuss effective security arrangements for the ceremony.
