Hyderabad, 17th Nov. Mallikarjun Kharge, the AICC chief, released the Congress party’s manifesto for Telangana on Friday. The manifesto includes six promises and various declarations.

After unveiling the 42-page manifesto, called Abhaya Hastham, Kharge stated that the people of Telangana are eager to bring the grand old party to power, no matter what.

The six promises offered by the Congress party include a promise of providing women with a monthly allowance of ₹2,500 and gas cylinders at ₹500. Additionally, if the party wins the state elections after November 30, they pledge to provide 200 units of free electricity to all households.

Under the Rythu Bharosa initiative, the party promises to provide ₹15,000 as investment assistance to farmers annually, while farm laborers will receive ₹12,000.

Through the Cheyutha program, eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹4,000 as social pension and a health insurance cover of ₹10 lakh.

Kharge emphasized that these promises have already been implemented in Karnataka. He mentioned that due to the free bus travel provided to women in Karnataka, they are now able to visit various temples, regardless of their faith. He assured that all six promises will be implemented in Telangana.

Kharge compared the manifesto to religious texts like the Gita, Quran, or Bible, stating that it holds great importance for the party. He added that all six guarantees will be passed for implementation in the first cabinet meeting.

Taking a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Kharge confidently stated that the Congress party will come to power, regardless of their efforts. He also mocked Rao, saying that the CM claims to be ready for retirement, and the people are ready to bid him farewell.
