On July 3, the BJP announced its intention to overthrow “family rule” in Telangana and West Bengal as well as establish governments in other states that have eluded it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged his party’s members to take note of the mistakes made by previous administrations that are now in “terminal decline” despite having ruled the nation for a long time.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah made the proposal for the party’s political resolution at the BJP national executive meeting. He named southern India as the region for the party’s future growth and claimed that the opposition had grown disjointed and discouraged, with Congress members fighting for democracy within their organization while its ruling family clings to its position.

Modi, who has frequently accused opposition parties of engaging in appeasement politics, stated in his speech during the final session of the two-day conference that the BJP’s objective should be to move the nation from “tushtikaran” to “triptikaran.” This will result in “sabkavikas”.

Prime Minister Modi has also advocated for party members to assist marginalised and oppressed minorities.

During a party unit presentation in Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP recently won by-elections for the LokSabha in Rampur and Azamgarh, two Samajwadi Party strongholds with sizable Muslim populations, he made the suggestion. Attempts should be made to reach out to socially backward minorities like Pasmanda Muslims, Modi said in the meeting. There have been several experiments in Indian politics with social equations among Hindus.

According to BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, at a press conference on Sunday, Modi called for the organization of a “SnehYatra” that will be aimed at fostering kinship and cooperation in society by reaching out to various groups of people.

In the party’s political and governance model, Modi ran on the platform of “P2 to G2,” “Pro-People to Good Governance”. He emphasized the need for party workers to maintain relationships with people and advised them not to mock or jeer at parties that were close to disintegrating. but rather to learn from their mistakes.

Aimed at the opposition, Modi claimed that dynastic politics and dynastic parties had grown tiresome in the nation and that it would be difficult for them to endure for very long.

“The status of opposition parties is dreadful. We should take note of their situation and the flaws and shortcomings that led to their downfall. They stayed away from people and still do. We need to stay away from the factors contributing to their decline “added Modi. Shah called for an end to the politics of dynasty, casteism, and appeasement in his nearly hour-long speech, referring to them as the “greatest sins” and the cause of the nation’s sufferings over the years. He also cited the party’s success in a number of recent polls as support for its “politics of development and performance.”

While giving a press briefing on Shah’s speech, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that fundamentalism and communism are by-products of appeasement. According to Sarma, the party’s political resolution also praised the government’s bravery in launching a number of initiatives for the development of the nation, including the Agnipath scheme for temporary military recruitment, which had sparked public outcry and received criticism from opposition parties.

Shah also praised as “historic” the Supreme Court’s recent decision to reject a petition challenging the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) clearance of 64 individuals, including the then-Chief Minister NarendraModi, in the case of the Gujarat riots in 2002. The petitioners had also received harsh treatment from the court. He claimed that the opposition parties, some media outlets, and some NGOs were involved in a plot to discredit Modi that had been revealed by the top court.

The BJP leader contrasted the Congress’ attempt to spread “anarchy” after its leader Rahul Gandhi was called in by the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case with Modi’s receiving insults, maintaining silence while facing the SIT, and maintaining his faith in the Constitution.

The Home Minister claimed that Modi handled the investigation like Lord Shiva and drank all the poison that was thrown at him. Sarma dodged questions about whether the national executive meet discussed the murder of Udaipur tailor KanhaiyaLal, who was hacked to death by two Islamic fanatics, or the controversy involving suspended BJP member Nupur Sharma over her objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammad. but he added that specific incidents are typically not discussed at such a conclave where the focus is on “macro” issues.

However, he claimed that incidents like the killing in Udaipur might not have occurred if the Congress had not started playing the appeasement card. Shah also aimed to put an end to political repression. Sarma, however, didn’t go into further detail. The Trinamool Congress, which is in power in West Bengal, and the Left, which is in power in Kerala, have both been accused by the BJP in the past of using violence against their own supporters.

Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Odisha, states that have so far resisted the saffron party’s power march since it took office at the federal level in 2014, will join them, according to Shah, who also claimed that the BJP will end family rule in Telangana and West Bengal.

At the meeting, there was a “collective hope and finding” that the BJP’s next phase of growth would originate in southern India, Sarma continued. Shah claimed that the Gandhi family is preventing internal organizational elections within the Congress because it is concerned about losing control of the party.

He made reference to matters such as the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, the building of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, surgical strikes, and the repeal of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, when he claimed that the opposition is fragmented and has opposed everything the government does that is positive. He said the saffron party, led by the Modi government, chose a Scheduled Tribe during the two elections for the top constitutional post and referred to the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu. He urged party members to spread the word about Murmu’s life and struggles.

According to Shah, the northeast will continue to be a BJP stronghold because the party is in control of all the states there, either independently or as a result of alliances. He added that all disputes in the region, including the militancy and boundary disputes there, would be settled by 2024.

The BJP returned to power in Maharashtra shortly after winning in four other states, and it is already preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections later this year.
