“The political promises of Guarantees to woo the voters have to be understood, analyzed and interpreted in the right perspectives by the academicians,”   opined Professor Madan Mohan Goel Former Vice Chancellor & Propounder Needonomics School of Thought superannuated from Department of Economics Kurukshetra University.  He was speaking at the conference of Akhil Bharat Rachnatamak Samaj (ABRS), New Delhi organized today at Sri Vardhman Mahavir Kendra Mount Abu. His topic was ‘Strengthening Democracy in India: Needo-role of Academicians’.

The academicians have to needo-care and not sit and stare at the sorry state of affairs in the national interest, emphasized, Prof. Goel.

Highlighting the significance of academicians’ involvement in addressing national challenges, Prof. Goel stressed the need for them to actively contribute to the betterment of society.

He cautioned against remaining silent on crucial matters, stating that such silence could be detrimental to democracy and may even be perceived as a form of negligence.

Prof. Goel underlined the pivotal role of academicians in democracy, advocating for their active participation in knowledge dissemination, policy formulation, civic education, and international cooperation. He suggested strategies to increase voter participation and address social disparities, aiming for a more inclusive democratic process.

In addressing contemporary issues intensified by greed, Prof. Goel proposed the adoption of Gita-based Needonomics as a solution. He emphasized the importance of adopting a street SMART approach (simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive, and transparent) guided by Needonomics principles to effectively contribute to India’s democratic process.

Prof. Goel’s message underscored the urgency for academicians to engage meaningfully in national discourse and contribute actively to the advancement of democracy in India.
