Top Semiconductor CEOs Praise PM Modi’s Vision and Leadership at Roundtable

New Delhi, 11th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired the Semiconductor Executives’ Roundtable, where he discussed the future of the semiconductor sector and India’s potential as an investment hub. The meeting, held at 7, LKM, emphasized India’s commitment to advancing semiconductor technology and the reforms that are positioning the country as a significant player in this industry.

Following the roundtable, leading semiconductor CEOs expressed their appreciation for Prime Minister Modi’s vision and leadership. They commended his efforts to enhance self-reliance and drive growth in the sector.

Key Highlights:

Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron, praised Modi’s policy initiatives to boost semiconductor manufacturing, describing the current period as an opportune moment for India’s semiconductor ambitions. “The best is yet to come,” Mehrotra said.

Ajit Manocha, CEO of SEMI, lauded Modi’s exceptional leadership, noting its inspirational impact not only on India but globally. “The whole world is aligning with this vision,” he remarked.

Kurt Sievers, CEO of NXP, expressed excitement about Modi’s foresight and deep understanding of the semiconductor industry. He noted the Prime Minister’s unique expertise in the field.

Randhir Thakur, CEO of TEPL, highlighted the significance of semiconductors for India’s future digital infrastructure and the role they will play in a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Bob Pragada, CEO of Jacobs, emphasized Modi’s efforts to position India as a global manufacturing leader. “India is on the brink of a manufacturing renaissance,” he stated.
