New Delhi, 26th March.
The Delhi Traffic Police has put special traffic restrictions in place in the central part of the national capital amid protest by the AAP against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

According to an advisory, traffic in central Delhi will be impacted, and parking will not be allowed on Tughlaq Road, Safdarjung Road, and Kemal Ataturk Marg.

The AAP plans to surround Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence to demonstrate against Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Kejriwal was taken into custody by the central agency in connection with a money laundering case related to the now-defunct Delhi excise policy. He is currently in ED custody until March 28.

The advisory mentioned that traffic in the New Delhi area will be disrupted due to special law and order measures.

To ensure smooth traffic flow in the New Delhi area, vehicles will not be allowed to stop or park on Tughlak Road, Safdarjung Road, and Kemal Ataturk Marg. Public entry will be restricted, and vehicles parked on these roads will be towed and penalized for improper parking and disobeying lawful instructions.

If necessary, traffic will be redirected from Aurobindo Chowk, Tughlaq Road, Samrat Hotel roundabout, Gymkhana Post Office roundabout, Teen Murti Haifa roundabout, Niti Marg roundabout, and Kautilya Marg roundabout.

The traffic police also advised commuters to avoid Kemal Ataturk Marg, Safdarjung Road, Akbar Road, and Teen Murti Marg.
