Union Minister Anurag Thakur Praises Establishment of Bharatiya Influencer Association

Noida, 1st Nov. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on Wednesday extended a warm welcome to the establishment of the Bharatiya Influencer Association.

During a meeting with officials of the Bharatiya Influencer Association (BIA) at his residence in New Delhi, he praised the initiative as a commendable effort that will provide assistance in addressing issues faced by influencers.

Thakur emphasized the crucial role of such organizations, especially in today’s era, where incidents like cyberbullying, trolling, and various online harassment are on the rise.

He expressed optimism that the Bharatiya Influencer Association would work effectively, keeping national interests in mind.

I&B Minister Thakur assured the BIA officials that the government would extend all possible support to their endeavors.

The meeting with the Central Minister included BIA’s patron Pradeep Rai, alongside the founding members Rajshri Rai, and Mr. Neelkant Bakshi, as well as other associate officials, Mr. Viraj Seth, Ankit Baiyanpuriya, Gaurav Chaudhary, Anunay Sood, Ajitesh Pandey, and Suresh Kumar.

Renowned former Chief Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah, serves as the organization’s Patron-in-Chief.

The officials of the Bharatiya Influencer Association also met with Central Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Puri, at his residence.

During the meeting, Minister Puri welcomed the formation of the Influencer Association, encouraging them to continue their work towards influencer independence.

He proposed several critical suggestions and urged the organization to consider them.

The founding members shared information about the organization’s objectives and the necessity for its establishment.

The Bharatiya Influencer Association operates as a self-regulatory body, advocating for the welfare and rights of influencers, while also providing essential resources and opportunities for emerging influencers.

Programs such as training initiatives and mentorships are aimed at assisting individuals facing legal challenges related to influencer matters.

The Bharatiya Influencer Association currently boasts over 10,000 members and recently conducted the nation’s largest influencer summit at the Bigyan Bhawan on August 21, 2023, where thousands of influencers participated.
