Union Minister Hardeep Puri Commends Success of India Energy Week 2024

At the closing ceremony of India Energy Week (IEW) 2024 in Goa, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri, praised the remarkable organization of the global energy conclave.

He highlighted the significant growth of IEW 2024 compared to its inaugural session last year, with a 30% increase in exhibitors showcasing products and services across an expansive area of 18,000 square meters.

Puri also announced that the third edition of IEW in 2025 will take place between February 11th and 14th at Yashobhoomi, India’s largest convention and exhibition center, situated in Dwarka, New Delhi. Additionally, he revealed that India Energy Week 2026 will return to Goa and be hosted at IPSHEM-ONGC Training Institute in the southern part of the state.

The Minister emphasized the event’s success, highlighted by the robust participation of CEOs and board members from major oil, gas, biofuel, and renewable technology companies. He noted that IEW has become a prominent platform facilitating diverse interactions among industry leaders, thereby fostering collaboration and innovation.

Puri commended the technological innovations showcased at IEW 2024, acknowledging the efforts of both large companies and individual entrepreneurs. He underlined India’s significant role in global energy demand, particularly in biofuels, and expressed optimism about the country’s future growth prospects.

Furthermore, Puri highlighted the potential of ethanol, biofuels, compressed biogas, and green hydrogen in India’s energy landscape, indicating substantial growth opportunities in these sectors.

Alongside the Minister, Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, emphasized India’s transformation into a hub for global energy companies, attracting investment and expertise.

The ceremony also featured the Energy Startup Challenge awards, with Iron Technologies securing the first prize, Vasitara Private Limited as the runner-up, and Aloe Ecell clinching the third position. Biofuels Junction and VDT Pipeline Integrity Solutions received honorable mentions for their contributions.
