Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Sunday advised Prakash Ambedkar to step away from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance.

Athawale stated, “My suggestion is for you to join us and work for the Dalit community under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Athawale pointed out that Prakash Ambedkar has been disrespected by the MVA alliance in Maharashtra, saying, “Prakash Ambedkar is a respected leader of our Dalit society, but he has been greatly insulted by the MVA.”

Regarding Prakash Ambedkar’s dispute with Ganpat Gaikwad, Prakash Ambedkar clarified, “There is no need to blame Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Ganpat Gaikwad is a BJP MLA, and the shooting incident occurred due to a land dispute. Firing at the police station is unacceptable. The police will take appropriate action.”

Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut announced the inclusion of Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) in the opposition alliance in Maharashtra.

In a post on X, Sanjay Raut stated, “Today, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi joined Maha Vikas Aghadi.”

He added, “The Indian constitution is in danger. We must unite and protect the Constitution.”

Sanjay Raut previously mentioned that the discussion to include VBA in the opposition coalition of parties, the INDIA bloc, took place during the alliance meeting on January 9.

Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi was established by Prakash Ambedkar, the grandson of Dr. BR Ambedkar, in March 2018.
