Bilateral Cooperation Advancements and Strategic Commitments Highlighted in Meeting of US National Security Advisor and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

New Delhi, 18th June. US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

NSA Sullivan briefed the Prime Minister on the progress in various areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly under the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) such as semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, telecom, defense, critical minerals, and space, among others.

Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction at the speed and scale of the growing bilateral partnership in all areas and the convergence of views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Progress Under iCET

US National Security Advisor Sullivan highlighted significant advancements under the iCET framework, emphasizing collaborative efforts in key sectors:

Semiconductors: Enhancing supply chain resilience and fostering innovation.
Artificial Intelligence: Joint research and development initiatives.
Telecom: Expanding 5G infrastructure and future technology collaboration.
Defense: Strengthening defense ties and joint military exercises.
Critical Minerals: Ensuring secure and stable supply chains.
Space: Cooperative projects in space exploration and satellite technology.
Commitment to Strategic Partnership

Prime Minister Modi recalled his recent positive interaction with President Biden at the G7 Summit, underscoring the shared commitment to a robust India-US partnership.

He reaffirmed his dedication to advancing the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, aiming to elevate it to greater heights in the new term.
