By Prof. M.M. Goel
Lucknow, 20th July. To avoid discontent among weaker segments, we must adopt Needonomics School of Thought with input from Gita”, believes Propounder Needonomics School of Thought Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, three-times Vice-Chancellor and superannuated Professor of economics from Kurukshetra University. He was delivering an online webinar organized by the Institute of Advance Sciences (INADS) Dartmouth, MA, USA in collaboration with Kuruom School of Advanced Sciences, Lucknow. His topic was “Relevance of Gita-based Needonomics for Global Economy ”. Prof Balram Singh President of INADS presided over the function. Dr Alok Kumar Dwivedi delivered the welcome address and presented a citation on the achievements of Prof. M.M. Goel.

Gita-based needonomics insulates a sense of morality, equality and respects the rights of all the stakeholders, believes Prof. Goel.

Spirituality and materialism are complimentary and justify spiritually guided materialism strategy flowing from Gita authenticated in sloka 22 of chapter 09, told Prof. Goel.

We must understand and adopt Gita-based Needonomics in totality including needo-consumption, needo-saving, needo-production, needo-investment, needo-distribution, altruism, needo-trade and exports, explained Prof. Goel.

The global economy can be people-friendly and socially beneficial only if undertaken under the NAW approach of needo-marketing by creating a need for the product, making it affordable and price worth of the goods, told Prof. Goel.

The potential middle-class consumers with needo-consumption are responsible for uplifting producers with needo-production and vice versa, said Prof. Goel.

We need to become street SMART (simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive, and transparent) as consumers, producers, distributors, traders, and needonomics in the present economic scenario of materialism and consumerism, explained Prof. Goel.

Needo-transform the Global Economy by Harnessing Gita-Based Needonomics, told Prof. Goel.
