Dhami also took the opportunity to inquire about the workers’ condition from two labourers, Gabbar Singh Negi and Saba Ahmad, and commended them for their resilience.

He assured the labourers that all relevant agencies are working tirelessly to ensure their safe evacuation as soon as possible.

Furthermore, Dhami mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally contacts him every morning to receive updates on the workers’ condition. He also reassured the labourers that their families have been contacted and informed about their well-being.

The incident occurred on November 12 when a landslide caused a portion of the tunnel to collapse, trapping the construction workers inside.
