Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized on Monday the need for the Uniform Civil Code for the state.

Soon after voting in Khatima’s Nagla Terai hamlet with his wife Geeta Dhami and mother Bishna Devi, he told India Today that a UCC is required for equality.

On 12 February, CM Dhami stated, “The state’s new BJP government will appoint a committee to write a Civil Code. This UCC will provide the same laws for all individuals, regardless of faith, including marriage, divorce, land ownership, and inheritance.”

According to Pushkar Singh Dhami, the people of Uttarakhand will vote on the work of the government, not on the “exploiters.” “The Uniform Civil Code is critical for Uttarakhand.” “The people of Uttarakhand will not forgive the Congress for its remarks regarding the Muslim university,” he declared.

“I have voted and blessed my son,” remarked his mother, Bishna Devi.

“Geeta Dhami, Pushkar Singh Dhami’s wife, stated that the BJP will “reveal the lies of the Congress.” “The BJP is the only party that values women. Dhami ji has built Khatima and the state as a whole. “People are siding with the BJP,” she stated.
