Washington, 13th August.
Vinay Mohan Kwatra took charge on Monday as the Indian Ambassador to the United States. Kwatra, who previously served as India’s Foreign Secretary, succeeds Taranjit Singh Sandhu in this crucial role.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Kwatra wrote in a post on X, “Privileged to assume charge as the Ambassador of India to the United States of America. Team @IndianEmbassyUS will continue to work intensely to strengthen this crucial partnership.”

Kwatra’s return to Washington, D.C., is notable as he had previously served as the Minister of Commerce at the Indian Embassy in the U.S. His extensive experience in diplomacy and trade is expected to further bolster the already strong ties between India and the United States.
