“Voting is A Great Gift”: PM Modi Encourages High Voter Turnout in Lok Sabha Polls Phase 3

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the Election Commission’s management of the initial phases of the Lok Sabha elections, lauding the nearly violence-free conduct of polling. As he exercised his franchise in the third phase of voting, PM Modi urged citizens to participate actively in the electoral process, viewing it as a valuable opportunity to shape the nation’s future.

Speaking to reporters after casting his vote at a polling booth in Ahmedabad’s Ranip area, under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat, PM Modi emphasized the significance of voting as a cherished gift. “Matdaan is Mahadaan (voting is a great gift),” he asserted, urging people to turn out in large numbers to make their voices heard.

Expressing pride in the conduct of Indian elections, PM Modi remarked that the process serves as a model for democracies worldwide, attracting attention as a subject of study for numerous universities. He praised the Election Commission for its voter-centric approach and the smooth organization of the first two phases of polling.

PM Modi called upon citizens across India to embrace the ongoing “festival of democracy” by actively participating in the electoral process.
