New Delhi, 27th July. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar participated in a plantation drive at Asita along the Yamuna river on Saturday. The initiative, titled “Ek Ped Ma ke Naam,” was organized by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
The Asita East project, inaugurated by Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena in 2022, focuses on restoring the ecological balance of the Yamuna floodplain and creating a green space for public enjoyment.
The project spans 197 hectares, with 90 hectares managed by the DDA and the rest under the jurisdiction of the Uttar Pradesh irrigation department.
