Bengaluru, 6th September. Bengaluru is facing severe waterlogging conditions due to heavy rains that have caused traffic jams in several areas of the city since Tuesday morning.

Bengaluru residents continue to experience severe waterlogging because the water that covered roads and byways on Monday has not yet subsided.

Due to the heavy rains, many areas of the state are experiencing flooding-like conditions.

Due to severe waterlogging caused by incessant heavy rains, many IT professionals in India’s silicon valley had to rely on tractors to get to work on Monday.

Yemalur, near the HAL Airport, has been submerged in water. On Monday, many IT employees who live in the area took tractors to their offices.

Due to the flood situation in Taluka, Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Gurudatt Hegade declared a holiday for educational institutes in Annigeri and Kundgol.

After reviewing the state, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai stated that a decision has been made to release Rs 300 crore to deal with the current situation and to maintain the city’s basic infrastructure.

On Monday morning, the CM met with the Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board (BWSSB), deputy commissioners from 15 districts, and senior officials to discuss the state’s rain and floods.

“The central team will arrive in Bengaluru on Tuesday night, to study the rain and flood situation in the state. A memorandum will be submitted and after that, the government will hold a meeting with the team members,” Bommai said.

Heavy rains are expected in southern and northern Karnataka over the next four days, according to the weather forecast. The state already received 144 percent more rain during the last week of August, and 51 percent more rain in the first five days of the current month. The water table has risen in drought-stricken areas. This is the highest rain that the state has seen in 42 years.
