New Delhi, 12th Sept. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, inaugurated a special railway coach dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, Delhi. The exhibit, by the Ministry of Railways, commemorates Mahatma Gandhi’s historic rail journeys that played a crucial role in shaping his philosophy and mission for India.

Shekhawat highlighted that the renovated coach symbolizes Gandhi’s transformative experiences on trains, particularly those that united the nation and promoted justice and equality. He urged everyone to carry forward Gandhi’s philosophy in their lives, emphasizing its relevance in today’s world.

The exhibit, enriched with sculptures depicting Gandhi’s interactions with fellow passengers, provides visitors with an immersive experience of his rail journeys. These travels across India allowed Gandhi to connect with the people, shaping his understanding of the country’s struggles and strengthening his vision of truth, non-violence, and social justice.
