Yogi Adityanath’s Adoration for Cat Goes Viral on Last Day of 2022

Gorakhpur, 1st Jan. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, trended on Twitter as the year 2022 came to an end. The ascetic who has proven his administrative abilities by leading the country’s most populous state was seen showering affection on a cat.

A picture of the Uttar Pradesh chief minister enjoying the company of a cat went viral on social media on Saturday, according to a statement from his office.

Adityanath, dressed in his traditional saffron robes, was sitting in his office at the Gorakhnath temple in Uttar Pradesh when a cat approached and sat on his lap.

According to the statement, the chief minister posted the endearing photo with the caption ‘Hit Anhit Pashuo Panchiyo Jana’. Adityanath quoted a Hindi proverb that means “even birds and animals can differentiate between friends and foes”.

The chief minister, who is known as Gausevak, is frequently seen pampering and caring for other animals as well.

When the Chief Minister visits Gorakhpur, he spends time with the cattle at the temple cowshed. He lavishes them with affection. With his hands, he feeds the animals jaggery-gram fodder. In addition, he adores his dogs Kalu and Gullu, according to a press release from his office.

Likes and retweets poured in as soon as the photo of the cat on his lap was posted on Twitter.

People admired the chief minister’s thoughtful act as an animal lover. In less than a half-hour, the tweet had been liked by over 3,500 people, retweeted by over 550 people, and seen by over 73,000 people.

A photo of the Chief Minister feeding and cuddling leopard cubs at the Gorakhpur Zoo went viral on Twitter in October.

Adityanath, who has established the state as an example in development, law and order and implementation of public welfare schemes, is also known for showering compassion and affection towards animals, said the press release.
