YSR Congress Leader YS Sharmila Blasts AP Govt Over Inadequate Flood Relief for Farmers

GG News Bureau
Amaravati, 25th July. YSR Congress Party Chief YS Sharmila has sharply criticized the Andhra Pradesh government for its inadequate support to farmers impacted by recent heavy rains.

In her statement, Sharmila highlighted how the floods have exacerbated the existing difficulties faced by local farmers and urged the coalition government to act swiftly to provide relief.

Sharmila also took aim at the central government, accusing it of failing to extend adequate assistance to Andhra Pradesh over the past decade.

She pointed out that while other states like Bihar, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh received extra funds for flood control and rehabilitation, Andhra Pradesh—where the NDA is in power—has been neglected.

Additionally, Sharmila called on former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to advocate for debt relief for farmers in Andhra Pradesh, stressing the need for immediate action to alleviate the hardships caused by the recent flooding.
