New Delhi, 13th May: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday invited the global community to participate in Bharat Innovates 2026, saying India wants to grow through partnership, cooperation and collaboration.

Pradhan addressed a high-level diplomatic interaction organised by the Ministry of Education at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan ahead of Bharat Innovates 2026, which will be held in Nice, France, from June 14 to 16 under the India-France Year of Innovation.

The event brought together ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats and government officials to discuss opportunities for global collaboration through India’s rapidly expanding innovation ecosystem.

Speaking at the conclave, Pradhan said India was transforming from a technology market into a technology developer and trusted global partner.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, he said innovation had become a national priority through initiatives focused on research, entrepreneurship and knowledge creation.

The minister highlighted the role of the National Education Policy 2020 and Atal Innovation Mission in promoting multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking and startup culture among youth.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri described Bharat Innovates as a major initiative in technology, research and innovation cooperation.

Higher Education Secretary Vineet Joshi said India’s higher education institutions were increasingly contributing to entrepreneurship and economic growth.

Officials said Bharat Innovates 2026 would feature over 100 startups across 13 STEM sectors in collaboration with more than 15 Indian higher educational institutions.
