New Delhi, 31st May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tributes to Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar on her birth anniversary, remembering her as a symbol of wisdom, compassion and unwavering commitment to public welfare.

In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister said the entire nation remembers Ahilyabai Holkar with deep respect and reverence for her exemplary leadership and service to society.

Modi described her life as a shining example of good governance, patriotism and cultural pride, stating that she always led with courage and a strong sense of duty.

The Prime Minister highlighted Ahilyabai Holkar’s contribution to ensuring justice and welfare for all sections of society. He also praised her efforts in rebuilding sacred temples and pilgrimage sites across the country, noting that her work played an important role in strengthening Bharat’s cultural consciousness.

Ahilyabai Holkar, one of the most respected rulers in Indian history, is widely known for her administrative acumen, social reforms and efforts to restore several prominent temples and pilgrimage centres across Bharat during the 18th century.
