She appreciated the Government of India’s efforts to promote Ayurveda and Yoga globally and said initiatives to validate ancient surgical practices using modern scientific benchmarks would strengthen the system’s international credibility.

Highlighting the role of technology, President Murmu said standardised documentation, digital health integration and scientific research would help enhance global acceptance of Ayurveda.

Addressing young students and researchers, she said the future of Ayurveda rests in their hands and urged them to pursue practical research with curiosity, integrity and a scientific temper.

She also encouraged them to adopt new technologies wherever appropriate while remaining committed to the principles of medical ethics and compassionate patient care inspired by Acharya Sushruta.

The three-day international seminar has brought together leading surgeons, academicians and researchers from India and abroad to deliberate on advances in Ayurvedic surgery and related disciplines.
