New Delhi, 11th Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday highlighted the role of the Government e Marketplace (GeM) in transforming public procurement through greater transparency, wider participation and improved business opportunities.
The Prime Minister shared an article by Union Minister Piyush Goyal detailing the achievements of GeM and said the technology-driven platform has strengthened the Ease of Doing Business over the past decade.
“Transparent procurement, wider participation and better opportunities… This is how GeM is transforming public procurement,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.
PM Modi said GeM has created a more competitive and inclusive procurement ecosystem, with technology at its core. He particularly highlighted the platform’s role in empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and women entrepreneurs.
