Prime Minister expresses gratitude to leaders from Dominica, Italy, Bhutan and WHO chief for their greetings

New Delhi, 18th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed gratitude to several world leaders who conveyed birthday wishes to him, acknowledging their messages through posts on X, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Responding to Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, Modi thanked him for his warm wishes and the goodwill conveyed on behalf of the government and people of Dominica. He said India values its close friendship with the Caribbean nation.

In response to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Modi thanked her for the birthday greetings and said he looked forward to continuing cooperation to further strengthen the India-Italy Special Strategic Partnership.

Modi also responded to Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, thanking him for his wishes and kind words and saying that he deeply valued the greetings and sentiments expressed.

The Prime Minister also thanked Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, for his birthday wishes. Modi recalled their meeting during the BRICS Leaders’ Summit and said they had advanced their shared commitment in areas including global health.

The messages came as Modi received birthday greetings from leaders and public figures on September 17. The Prime Minister separately expressed gratitude for the affection and blessings received from people across India on his birthday.
