Jaipur, 14th Oct: An Air India flight from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday morning following a reported hijack alert, triggering heightened security measures at the airport.

Flight AI 2030, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, landed safely at 9:45 am. Authorities conducted security checks before allowing passengers and crew to disembark.

Sources at Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control said they received squawk code 7500, internationally associated with unlawful interference, from the aircraft.

Air India later said the diversion followed a “perceived security concern”. After security checks, passengers were allowed to board again as the flight continued to Delhi.

The airline apologised for the disruption, saying its teams worked with authorities to minimise passenger inconvenience. It also offered passengers complimentary rescheduling or a full refund in case of cancellation.
