New Delhi, 26th Oct: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalised a nationwide outreach campaign ahead of the INDIA alliance rally scheduled for November 1 at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan over the voter list revision exercise.

As part of the campaign, senior BJP leaders, Union ministers and chief ministers will lead padyatras (foot marches) to explain the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process to the public and respond to Opposition allegations of “vote theft”.

According to the plan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will lead a march in Lucknow on November 1, the same day as the INDIA alliance rally. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is also scheduled to lead a padyatra in Shimla that day.

The two chief ministers are expected to participate in another march in Hyderabad on November 2, followed by an event in Karnal, Haryana, on November 5, where Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will join them.

Senior Leaders To Lead Public Outreach
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior Union ministers will lead marches to address Opposition allegations concerning the SIR exercise. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are also expected to lead public outreach events.

The party plans to organise padyatras at every district headquarters, targeting around 10,000 participants at each event. The campaign will focus on electoral roll integrity, the revision process and democratic values.

BJP Forms Team To Coordinate Campaign
BJP leader Nitin Navin has formed a team to oversee the nationwide initiative. The responsibility for coordinating the “Save Democracy, End Anarchy” (Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao) yatras has been assigned to Tarun Chugh, Bhupender Yadav, Harish Dwivedi and Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Through the marches, the party aims to communicate its position on the voter list revision exercise directly to citizens as the INDIA alliance prepares to protest against the process in the national capital.

The competing outreach efforts are expected to bring the electoral roll revision exercise into focus ahead of the November 1 rally.
