New Delhi, 14th May: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Thursday warned the public against fraudulent recruitment activities being carried out by an entity operating under the name “JG Building Group”.
In an official communiqué, the ministry said the entity was allegedly issuing fake vacancy notices while falsely claiming association and authorization from the Housing Ministry.
According to the government, the group has reportedly been misleading candidates by claiming collaboration with the ministry and seeking money from applicants under the pretext of providing employment opportunities.
Officials also said the entity was operating an online platform and website to reinforce its false claims and deceive job seekers.
The ministry clarified that it had not issued any such recruitment notification and had not authorised any private agency or organisation to conduct recruitment on its behalf.
The government stated that any communication claiming links with the ministry for recruitment purposes should be treated as fraudulent and misleading.
The ministry advised job seekers not to respond to fake recruitment offers, avoid sharing personal or financial information, and refrain from making any payments related to such offers.
Citizens have also been urged to report such incidents through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or local law enforcement agencies.
The communiqué said the advisory was issued in public interest to prevent exploitation of unsuspecting citizens and create awareness regarding online recruitment frauds.
