Govt Appoints Narayan Dewasi, Swaroop Singh Banjara to DWBDNC

New Delhi, 18th Sept: The Central Government has appointed Narayan Dewasi and Swaroop Singh Banjara as Members of the Governing Body of the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC), the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said.

The appointments have been made by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Their tenure will be for three years from the date of joining or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Swaroop Singh Banjara assumed charge as a member of the Governing Body on September 17 and said he would work towards the welfare and development of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic (DNT) communities. He also expressed his commitment to addressing the needs and aspirations of these communities.

The Ministry said the appointments are expected to strengthen the Governing Body of the DWBDNC and support its mandate relating to the socio-economic development and empowerment of DNT communities.

The DWBDNC works on issues concerning the welfare and development of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic communities and supports initiatives aimed at improving their socio-economic conditions and empowerment.
